This place is located in a little indoor mall. We went during lunch and nobody was there. Food was good. Service was very slow considering we were the only ones there. Cute little decor. Plenty of parking.

Very friendly! The lady at the desk asked our Chinese zodiac sign. She also knew my Chinese tattoo. The food is good and be ready to eat its huge portions.

We weren't expecting much based on the reviews but we were craving chinese and there wasn't much around us as we were from out of town. The restaurant is nicely decorated. They were not crowded (only one other table with 2 customers) so we were able to be seated immediately. The young male server took our order (drink and food). We ordered a glass of wine, water, veggie spring rolls and a veggie dish each. The rolls came quickly and were pretty good. The dishes arrived soon after and my dish was great. In fact, it was probably the best fried tofu I have ever had. The brown sauce gave the tofu and veggies a wonderful flavor. My husband enjoyed his dish with white garlic sauce and veggies with white rice. There was enough for us to take back to the hotel and have for another night, which was even better. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the service was not great. After taking our order, we didn't see our server again until we asked for to go boxes and our check. Our meals were brought out by someone else from the kitchen. We didn't receive a refill of water or asked if we wanted another glass of wine. I actually had to flag him down to get the boxes and check. Other than that, we would certainly go back or get take out.

Good standard Cantonese. Everything is fresh and taste delicious. This location has been in business over 45 years and the food shows why. Consistently good. Tasty prompt service. Recently redone inside.

To use a cliche, this place is a hidden gem! Situated inside a hallway in the corner of a strip mall, it is easy to miss. Once inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised! reminiscent of the old time "Chop Suey" houses scattered around Detroit in the 60s. Clean as a whistle and they even have a small bar in the back. They are short-staffed, so you must order and pre-pay at the front desk. They give you a number like at a cafeteria, but don't be put off by this odd start. My son and I grabbed a booth and split an order of fried dumplings while we waited for our luncheon combinations, his was the General Tsao's Chicken, mine was the Szechuan Chicken. Each came with egg roll and fried rice. ALL were OUTSTANDING! Piping hot and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back!

Empress Gardens, oh how I love you!! This place is fantastic! Specializing in Cantonese/Szechuan cuisine, they have been around for over 50 years! My family has enjoyed this restaurant for over 40 years and it never disappoints. I have tried almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious. They cook all the proteins to perfection: pork, beef, shrimp, chicken, etc... I love the Singapore Noodles, which has shrimp and chicken in angel hair pasta and curry. Beef with Pea Pods in another favorite dish. The beef is very tender and the sauce is delicious. Their fried rice dishes are a delight. I like the Yong Chow fried rice because it has chicken, ham and shrimp in it. I always get an egg roll--crispy of the outside and yummy on the inside. Vegetarian options too. They also offer dinner and lunch specials. Very friendly service. They have a dining room but it's currently closed due to Covid. Carry out only. I'm so glad they have remained open, continuing to provide excellent service and food during the pandemic. Easy pick up window and customers are requested to wear masks. All of the employees wear masks. Located in the Harvard Row strip mall with plenty of parking.
